“Walks in North Park” by Dan R. Talley

Walks in North Park, an exhibition by Fine Arts Professor Dan R. Talley
The Baum School of Art is proud to present a unique photographic exhibition by Kutztown University Fine Arts Professor Dan R. Talley. Walks in North Park is a year-long project that began in October 2014. The work grew out of twelve monthly walks culminating in a 12-volume photobook containing 253 images and 12 essays. The images honor a straight-forward, documentary landscape tradition, but they are also influenced and informed by the conceptually driven practices of Sol LeWitt, Bernd and Hilla Becher, the New Topographic photographers, and a host of others. In addition to the book, the exhibition also includes a number of excerpted images presented as wall works. An artist reception will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2105 from 6:00–8:00pm at The Baum School of Art. The public is invited. The school is located at 510 Linden St., Allentown, PA. 18105.
